In Saxony I represent the European idea.
That is why I am at numerous events and discussions, visiting EU-funded projects, cities and municipalities and various civil society associations and initiatives as well as companies. This is an opportunity to see how EU legislation works at the regional level and which levers still need to be turned. I am happy to take suggestions with me to Brussels, where I stand up for the appropriate changes and initiatives.
In addition, I am personally involved in numerous associations and organisations in Saxony, that stand for a democratic and cosmopolitan coexistence. Accordingly, I am always very happy to see how many people volunteer to work together in solidarity, invest large parts of their free time and fight for a better society. Because the motto of the European Union – “United in diversity” – applies to the small and the large things.
